Who Feeds You Determines Who You Become!

Who Feeds You Determines Who You Become!

We are fed.

Not by our own hands, but by systems we rarely question. That should bother us.

Start simple. We need air, water, and food. Air is given. Water often is too. But food is delivered through a chain most of us never see. If you are not a farmer, you are not truly feeding yourself. You are consuming what has been chosen, designed, and placed before you.

So ask it plainly. What am I being fed?

Who decided what fills the shelves? Who engineered the taste, the shelf life, the craving? You can choose better, but most do not. Not because they cannot. Because it is easier not to. Easier to grab. Easier to scroll. Easier to trust the system than to examine it.

But that is only the surface.

The real feeding is not physical. It is mental.

Every day something is feeding your mind. Your attention is not neutral. It is being trained. You think you are choosing, but watch your own habits. The first thing you reach for in the morning is not silence or reflection. It is a device.

A feed.

You do not control it as much as you think. It studies you. Learns you. Anticipates you. Then it serves you what will keep you there. Not what will make you better. What will make you stay.

So you are fed again.

You skip what requires effort. Truth. Discipline. Devotion. You linger on what excites. Conflict. Scandal. Sports. Gossip. The system does not force you. It amplifies you. It feeds your appetite until your appetite feels like truth.

This is not new.

In the Roman Empire, rulers kept people distracted with spectacle. Bread to fill the stomach. Games to fill the mind. As long as people watched, they did not question. As long as they talked about the arena, they ignored the structure above them.

Now the arena is in your hand.

No emperor is needed. The feed does the work. Distraction feels like freedom. Choice is curated. Thought is guided.

So face it.

Like it or not, we are all being influenced.

But you do have control over who or what influences you.

If you think deeply enough, you will realize something else. You are not just looking for information. You are searching for perfection. There is something innate in us that refuses to settle. It pushes us to seek, to refine, to become.

Many confuse perfection with success. This world trains us to believe success is achievement. So we chase titles, wealth, recognition. We run harder, thinking the next milestone will complete us.

It never does.

Achievement is not perfection.

We were not made merely to achieve. We were made to become.

And becoming takes a lifetime.

Many have spent their entire lives chasing perfection through effort, discipline, success, and still come up empty. Why? Because imperfection cannot produce perfection. Only perfection can reveal it.

So the search is not for more. The search is for the source.

This cry is ancient. It echoes through the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad in verse 1.3.28:

Asato ma sadgamaya. Lead me from the unreal to the real.
Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya. Lead me from darkness to light.
Mrityor ma amritam gamaya. Lead me from death to life.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. Peace. Peace. Peace.

That peace, that completeness, that perfection has been sought for thousands of years.

And then a claim enters history that cannot be ignored.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Not a teacher of the way.
Not a guide to the truth.
The way. The truth. The life.

If that claim is true, then perfection is not an idea to chase. It is a person to encounter.

And the question becomes sharper than ever.

Who is feeding you?

And are you being shaped toward distraction, or toward perfection?
